Austin McCown
Head of Agent Attraction & Technology
Austin has operated at the highest levels of real estate, spending the majority of his career on the franchising side of the business. He worked with some of the industry’s largest brands — including the parent company of Century 21, Coldwell Banker, Sotheby’s International Realty, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, and Engel & Völkers — traveling across the country to help brokerages and teams implement best practices, technology, and growth strategies.
In 2023, he made the decision to step away from the franchise world after recognizing a fundamental shift: technology had become equally accessible to independent firms. Coming out of COVID, he saw that independence allows brokerages to move faster, adapt quicker, and evolve without the friction of legacy systems.
He brought that perspective to Marchant. His role is to ensure that choosing a boutique brokerage never means settling for less. The tools, systems, training infrastructure, and business development support — Austin leads all of it, with a focus on keeping Marchant ahead of the curve.
